Summer Progress Test
hmmm 15th May 2006 is the day where Year 1-5 Manchester medics will have to sit for this paper- Summer Progress Test. One paper, 125 MCQ for all 5 years. How odd? Well, i still don't really know the theory behind it. But of course the passing mark for each year differs. So, for the year 1, i would expect perhaps 10% is the passing mark! So, simply "tembak" the 125 questions also can pass...hmm i wish i am in Year 1 now. Basically, they will average the mean marks for each year and determine a passing mark. But there is a catch, if your fellow mates are those super kiasu and darn smart-hmm..bad news! This will lead to a high mean mark which means this will also bring up the passing mark for your year. Therefore, there is a chance that u might fail. So, watch out and get to know all your fellow friends. If they are those kiasu types, u better start converting yourself to one too. Okay, that counteract technique only works for Year 1 and Year 2. FOR Year 3,4.5, this does not work. WHy? because we have direct entry students from St. Andrews and Malaysia. Plus we have 5 hospital bases for Manchester Medics, thus it is impossible to gauge everyone's standard. SO, only way to pass- be as kiasu as you can! arghh...life is tough...
I am panicking.... pray hard for me..=)
